- Ripple announced it joined Water.org’s Get Blue coalition on Wednesday as the campaign’s sole digital-asset and payments partner and pledged seed funding plus payment rails.
- The company will supply RLUSD, a U.S. dollar–backed stablecoin that runs on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, and use Ripple Payments to move funds across borders more quickly than traditional banking.
- Water.org and Ripple have not disclosed key operational details including exact seed amounts, which countries or local microfinance institutions will receive initial transfers, or expected transaction volumes.
