Rio’s Summer Operation Nets 11 Tons of Illegal Goods on Beaches Over Weekend

Overview

• Municipal agents removed more than 11 tonnes of irregular items, seizing over 80 speakers and about 50 electric motorcycles and ciclomotores from the sand and promenade.
• Traffic actions produced more than 1,050 fines and 66 vehicle removals, and crews handed out about 300 ID bracelets that enabled three child reunions with families.
