Rio 2027 Carnival Parade Order Set in LIESA Draw

Overview

• LIESA, which held a public draw Thursday at Cidade do Samba, confirmed the final running order for Rio’s top-tier samba schools in 2027.
• Sunday features União de Maricá, Beija-Flor, Paraíso do Tuiuti, and Unidos de Vila Isabel, Monday has Mocidade, Unidos da Tijuca, Salgueiro, and Imperatriz, and Tuesday has Portela, Viradouro, Grande Rio, and Mangueira.
• By rule, União de Maricá, Mocidade, and Portela open their nights, and the other schools were split into trios that cannot parade on the same night.
• The 2026 champion Viradouro goes second on Tuesday while Mangueira closes the carnival, and no school requested a post-draw swap within the same night.
