- The Zurich Film Festival announced Thursday, June 18, 2026, that Linklater will accept the Golden Eye career achievement award in person on Sept. 28 at the Filmpodium Zürich.
- As part of the honor, the festival will run an extensive retrospective of his films in collaboration with Filmpodium Zürich and the Cinémathèque suisse and present a public ZFF Masters session with the director.
