- Famitsu published Japan’s physical boxed software and hardware sales for the week of July 6–12, 2026, reporting the top-10 snapshot and saying expanded rankings would follow.
- Rhythm Heaven Groove for Switch held the number-one spot with 126,073 boxed copies sold that week, bringing its cumulative boxed total to about 519,451 units.
- Switch 2 sold 28,755 consoles during the same week, pushing its lifetime boxed total to roughly 6,026,931 units and keeping it atop Japan’s hardware boxed chart.
- Several new releases entered the top rankings, led by Magical Girl Witch Trials on Switch (21,283 boxed units), with PS5 debuts Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Echoes of Aincrad also placing in the chart.
- Famitsu’s figures cover only domestic physical retail sales, so digital downloads and overseas performance are not included and will be needed to assess each title’s full commercial success.
