Revolut Lists Zama Token Across European Economic Area

Revolut users can buy, hold, and withdraw ZAMA in the app, giving broad retail access to a token tied to Zama’s effort to bring fully homomorphic encryption to everyday onchain finance.

Overview

  • Zama announced that Revolut will list ZAMA across the EEA, putting the token in front of Revolut’s more than 70 million customers and the platform’s 15 million-plus crypto users while trading fees start at zero in the main app.
  • Revolut customers can buy and keep ZAMA inside the main app or withdraw the token onchain to self‑custody wallets because Revolut supports crypto transfers in the region.
  • Zama’s technology uses fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) to let smart contracts compute on encrypted balances and transactions without revealing underlying values, which the company says preserves privacy on public blockchains.
  • The listing follows Zama’s recent product moves, including a February sealed‑bid auction that protected over $121 million with FHE and a June confidential USDC vault on Morpho that reached $23.23 million in deposits by mid‑July.
  • Zama overcame a temporary May freeze of about $12.5 million in a contract by Circle and says it is building controlled‑disclosure and compliance tools as it scales FHE products into mainstream fintech channels.
