Revolut Connects Revolut X to Third-Party AI Assistants for Natural-Language Crypto Trading

The move lets external agents prepare orders, alerts and strategy backtests while keeping a mandatory human review step to limit automated execution risk.

Overview

  • Revolut announced on Friday that Revolut X now links with AI assistants including Claude, Google’s Gemini, OpenClaw and Cursor so users can use plain English to request market analysis, alerts, portfolio checks and to prepare market or limit orders.
  • The integration supports strategy backtesting and historical performance and risk metrics across more than 300 tokens so traders can test ideas such as grid or time-based strategies without writing code.
  • All AI-generated trades require explicit user review and approval before execution, and Revolut says it will not accept liability for errors or losses caused by third-party AI tools.
  • Technically, the feature builds on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol and Revolut published a GitHub repository and command-line tools to let dozens of assistants connect to Revolut X’s trading API.
  • The rollout broadens retail access to ‘agentic’ trading interfaces and follows similar moves by other exchanges, which could speed automated workflows for tens of millions of users while raising new questions for regulators and security practices.
