Restaurantosaurus Trailer Marked for Demolition as Tropical Americas Construction Ramps Up

Disney is retaining parts of Restaurantosaurus for a hacienda-style quick-service that matches the new Tropical Americas theme.

Overview

  • On March 19, crews marked the former Restaurantosaurus “Hip Joint” trailer for demolition, and exterior paneling has been stripped from the structure.
  • Portions of the main Restaurantosaurus building will be preserved and reworked into a hacienda-style quick-service location within Pueblo Esperanza.
  • Site work across the former DinoLand U.S.A. shows heavy activity with pavement and trees removed, statues and the DINOSAUR marquee gone, and a new carousel foundation poured in front of Restaurantosaurus.
  • The Encanto attraction building is rising on the old Dino-Rama site with vertical steel in place and sheathing staged for installation.
  • The DINOSAUR show building is being prepared for an Indiana Jones retheme with a Maya temple facade, and the land is expected to debut in 2027 without a confirmed opening date.
