Resident Evil Takeover Transforms Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas
Universal is turning its haunted event into an interactive Raccoon City run with assigned missions, live franchise characters, themed food, plus shared production assets
Overview
- Universal announced a limited-time Resident Evil Takeover that will run July 9–August 30, 2026 and is included with a Universal Horror Unleashed ticket.
- All four haunted houses at Universal Horror Unleashed will operate during the takeover and visitors are advised to allow at least three hours to see the full experience.
- Guests enter a staged Raccoon City and receive assigned roles—RPD Officer, STARS, or BSAA—to complete puzzle-driven, mission-style gameplay that changes on repeat visits.
- Fans will encounter major franchise figures such as Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, and Ada Wong, interact with villains including Nemesis and a Chainsaw Man, and get photo opportunities with rotating character appearances.
- The takeover includes an Umbrella Underground Laboratory serving themed food and cocktails and uses costumes and scenic elements borrowed from Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Hollywood to scale the production and boost repeat attendance.
