- SCDF crews forced entry to an eighth-floor unit in Block 309 Clementi Avenue 4 after seeing flames in the living room and used two water jets to put out the blaze, during which they found a person trapped in the kitchen.
- The trapped resident was taken to hospital unconscious and was later reported dead by the local MP, who said the person was believed to have been living alone.
