- Shortly before 5:20 p.m. CST on February 11, the pilots declared an emergency over East Texas reporting oil suddenly covering the windshield, according to the FAA.
- While diverting to Echo Lake Airport near Brownsboro in a Beechcraft A36, the airplane struck power lines and came down nose-first short of the runway.
- The NTSB said the investigation is ongoing, with data-capable devices retrieved from the aircraft and the wreckage moved to a secure facility for examination.
