Reniec, Municipalities Launch Free DNIe 3.0 Drives This Week for Minors and Seniors

The effort prioritizes vulnerable residents via in‑person brigades, with a separate S/30 online renewal available to eligible adults.

Overview

  • Campaigns scheduled for Dec. 2–5 include Ciudad Nueva–Tacna (Dec. 2–3), ParamongaBarranca (Dec. 3, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), TaricáHuaraz (Dec. 4, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), Jangas/Hangas–Huaraz (Dec. 5, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 70 slots), Santa–Chimbote (Dec. 5, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 300 slots) and Ayaví–Huancavelica (Dec. 5, 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.).
  • Reniec and local governments are prioritizing children 0–17 and adults 60+, with limited daily capacity, attention by order of arrival, and requirements such as accompanying parents for minors and supporting documents.
  • On-site services include first-time enrollment, renewals, data rectification, free photo capture and, where applicable, delivery or duplicate of the DNI electrónico; one Albarracín notice for Dec. 4 does not specify if the document issued is electronic.
  • Eligible adults with an expired or soon-to-expire blue DNI can migrate to DNI electrónico 3.0 online using the DNI BioFacial app and a S/30 payment (code 02121), then select an office for pickup without visiting an agency for processing.
  • Reniec has made DNIe 3.0 the national standard since late August, highlighting access to health, education, social programs, digital signatures and anti‑fraud protections, while minors’ updates remain in person and are urged ahead of 2026 school enrollment.
