Overview
- Renault targets more than 2 million Renault-brand vehicles a year by 2030 and outlines 36 new models over five years, including 14 for markets beyond Europe.
- The product roadmap includes 16 pure electric models by 2030 while continuing to lean on hybrids to address weaker-than-expected European EV demand.
- A new EV platform due in 2028 will offer a range-extender variant using a gasoline backup to enable up to 1,400 km of range.
- European models will be developed largely in-house, with Geely partnerships to boost sales in South America and South Korea and the Horse Powertrain joint venture developing a smaller hybrid engine.
- Initial execution features the Bridger small SUV for India and the Dacia Striker crossover estate, both set to be unveiled at Renault’s R&D center outside Paris on Tuesday.
