Renault Unveils Filante Flagship Crossover in South Korea

Built in Busan for a March Korea debut, the hybrid-only 4.9-meter model heads to South America plus Gulf states by early 2027.

Overview

  • Positioned as Renault’s new international flagship, the Filante is the brand’s largest current model at roughly 4.92 meters long with a 2.82-meter wheelbase.
  • The cabin features a wide-screen layout with three 12.3-inch displays and a 25.6-inch augmented-reality head-up display, plus extensive connectivity and over-the-air updates.
  • Power comes from a full-hybrid setup pairing a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with two electric motors for about 250 PS, fed by a small 1.64 kWh battery and designed as a non–plug-in system.
  • Developed and manufactured by Renault Korea in Busan, the vehicle launches first in South Korea in March 2026 and is not planned for Europe initially.
  • Coverage differs on the underlying platform, citing either Renault’s CMF-C/D or an adapted Geely CMA architecture, and media report a Korean entry price near €25,000 equivalent.
