Renault Names Christian Stein Chief Executive of Its Spain Unit

Renault says the appointment supports its futuREady plan after a new labour agreement that secures model assignments and a new electric platform for Spanish factories.

Overview

  • Renault announced that Christian Stein will lead Renault Group España while keeping his role as the group's chief communication officer.
  • The company says Stein will direct all operations in Spain and act as the firm's main institutional representative in the country.
  • Renault presented the move as part of its futuREady strategic plan and linked it to a recent collective bargaining agreement that assigns five new models and enables deployment of a new electric vehicle platform for Spanish plants.
  • François Provost, Renault Group CEO, cited Stein's more than 35 years in the auto industry and his deep knowledge of the Spanish market as reasons he is fit to guide the company’s next phase in Spain.
