Reds Add Andrew Chafin on Minor-League Deal, Assigned to Triple-A Louisville

The Reds signed lefty reliever Andrew Chafin to a minor-league contract and placed him with the Triple-A Louisville Bats.

Chafin posted a 2.41 ERA over 42 appearances in 2025 and carries a 3.35 career ERA in 643 MLB games.
He was released by the Twins after spring training that showed 85.7 mph fastballs and too many walks.
Cincinnati already has Brock Burke and Sam Moll in the big-league bullpen and Caleb Ferguson on the injured list, so Chafin is depth with any call-up tied to need and performance.
