Redmi Launches A7 Pro 4G and A7 4G in India

The Pro model leans on longer update promises to stand out in India's entry tier.

  • Redmi, which introduced the A7 Pro 4G and A7 4G in India on Tuesday, will start sales on April 23 via Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, and Xiaomi stores.
  • Reported prices differ by outlet, with some listing the A7 Pro 4G at Rs. 11,499 and the A7 4G at Rs. 10,499, while others cite Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 10,999 for the same 4GB/64GB and 3GB/64GB variants.
  • Both phones use the Unisoc T7250 chip with 64GB of storage, the Pro carrying 4GB of RAM and the A7 3GB, and each includes a dedicated microSD slot that supports up to 2TB.
  • Displays measure 6.9 inches on the Pro and 6.88 inches on the A7, each offering a 120Hz LCD panel up to 800 nits, and both include a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
  • Software is a key split, with the A7 Pro shipping on Android 16–based HyperOS 3 and promised four years of Android updates plus six years of security patches, while the A7 runs Android 15–based HyperOS 2 with shorter support; the Pro also features a 6,300mAh battery and both support 15W charging with 7.5W reverse charging.
