  • The Red Sox placed Anthony on the 10-day injured list Thursday, backdated to Tuesday, making May 15 the earliest he can return in Atlanta.
  • He hurt his right hand on a Monday check swing in Detroit, and tests showed a sprained ligament under his right ring finger with no fracture.
