Historical reports say Project Apollo ran about 18 months before cancellation reportedly because Warner Bros. Games required Christopher Nolan’s approval for a tie‑in that was never granted.
Storyboard images shared on Reddit via Vice reveal Pandemic Studios Brisbane’s open‑world Dark Knight tie‑in for EA, which was canceled months before the 2008 film’s release and preceded the studio’s closure.
A planned sequel to 2024’s Batman: Arkham Shadow for Meta Quest 3 was shelved, with Aftermath attributing the move to Reality Labs layoffs and multiple VR studio closures at Meta.
