Overview
- The program will deposit refunds of up to R$1,000 directly via Pix to CPF-linked accounts in a special July lot tied to the 2024 tax year.
- To receive payment, taxpayers need a regular CPF, a Pix key linked to that CPF or a bank account in their name, and no restrictions with the tax authority, and payments pause during audit (malha fina).
- The tax agency estimates about 4 million people will benefit, with an average credit of R$125.
- Notices will appear in official channels such as the Meu Imposto de Renda app, the e-CAC portal and the public refunds query page, and those left out can request review through e-Processo.
- Regular refunds follow four lots from May to August, with legal priority for people 80+, then those 60+ or with disability or serious illness, and teachers, followed by prefilled filers who choose Pix.
