Receita Federal Opens February Residual Income Tax Refund Consultation With Payouts Set for Feb. 27
The batch returns R$578.97 million to 204,824 filers who resolved earlier audit holds.
Overview
- The release, aimed at taxpayers who were previously flagged and later regularized, also includes residual refunds from past years.
- Priority recipients include 6,632 people aged 80 or over, 39,290 aged 60 to 79, 3,264 with disabilities or serious illness, and 10,735 whose main income is from teaching.
- A further 127,585 nonpriority taxpayers who used the prefilled return and/or chose Pix will be paid, alongside 17,318 other nonpriority filers.
- Status can be checked at gov.br/receitafederal via Meu Imposto de Renda or in the Receita Federal app, with detailed processing available in the e-CAC portal.
- Credits are scheduled for Feb. 27 to the declared bank account or a Pix key linked to the CPF; failed deposits can be rescheduled with Banco do Brasil for up to one year, after which unclaimed amounts must be requested via e-CAC.
