Overview
- Meemken Wurstwaren issued a precautionary recall Thursday after cheese-filled sausages were packed in plain Kamar Geflügelbratwurst sleeves with no milk warning.
- The recall covers one clearly identified batch: 500 g packs, lot 516516, best before June 26, 2026, EAN 4008460266741.
- According to the official notice, the affected packs were sold in Lidl stores in Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Baden-Württemberg, Niedersachsen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Saarland and Bayern.
- People with milk allergy or lactose intolerance could suffer stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, fullness or nausea if they rely on the label and eat the product.
- Consumers are told not to eat the sausages and to return them to Lidl for a full refund without a receipt, and the manufacturer says no other batches or products are affected.
