Rebecca Park Case: Mother and Stepfather Booked as Search for Missing Newborn Continues

Investigators are coordinating with state and federal partners to locate the baby after confirming Park’s identity.

Overview

  • Autopsy results released Nov. 29 confirmed the body found Nov. 25 in Manistee National Forest is 22-year-old Rebecca Park, and the baby was not with her.
  • Wexford County Sheriff Trent Taylor says multiple agencies, including Michigan State Police and the FBI, are working to determine the newborn’s condition and whereabouts.
  • Park’s biological mother, Cortney Bartholomew, and her fiancé, Bradly Bartholomew, were booked late Nov. 30 and early Dec. 1, with a court appearance now set for Tuesday; officials have not disclosed charges.
  • Park’s fiancé, Richard Lee Falor, was arraigned Nov. 26 on two methamphetamine delivery counts with $1 million bail, and her sister, Kimberly Park, faces evidence-tampering, false-report, and lying-to-police charges with $750,000 bail.
  • Authorities have not released Park’s cause of death and continue to limit details; she was last seen Nov. 3 getting into a dark-colored vehicle near a family home, and her phone was later found discarded nearby.
