RCMP Invites Kids to Name 13 Future Police Dogs in 2026 Contest

Submissions close March 26 on the RCMP Name the Puppy webpage.

Overview

  • Eligible entrants are Canadian children ages 4 to 14, with one name submission per child.
  • Proposed names must start with the letter B, be one or two syllables, and contain no more than nine letters, suitable for any sex.
  • Entries are accepted only online through the RCMP contest page, with mail submissions no longer allowed.
  • Staff at the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, Alta., will choose 13 winners, using a draw for duplicate suggestions, and may use other submitted names for later puppies.
  • Winners will be announced in late April and will receive a laminated photo of the puppy, a Justice plush dog, and an RCMP water bottle.
