Overview
- Online registration is open from February 16 to March 8, 2026, and applications are accepted only via rbi.org.in.
- The preliminary exam is scheduled for April 11 and the main exam for June 7, with the RBI reserving the right to revise dates.
- A total of 650 vacancies are advertised across 17 offices, led by Mumbai with 249 posts and smaller allocations in other cities including Chennai, Kanpur & Lucknow, and New Delhi.
- Eligibility includes a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD), age 20–28 as of February 1, 2026, proficiency in the local state language, and knowledge of PC word processing.
- Selection comprises prelims, mains and a Language Proficiency Test with negative marking in the first two stages, and the application fee is ₹59 for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex‑Servicemen and ₹531 for General/OBC/EWS, while RBI staff are exempt.
