Raster, Stuckslager Sisters and Hundt Win WIAA Girls Tennis Titles

Milwaukee-area programs claimed three of the four individual crowns at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

  • Top-seeded Caroline Raster of Brookfield East won Division 1 singles over Verona’s McKenna Thorson, 6-3, 7-6, finishing 24-0 after surviving an 11-9 third-set tiebreak in the semifinal.
  • Divine Savior Holy Angels’ Lizzie and Amelia Stuckslager captured Division 1 doubles, defeating Arrowhead’s defending champions Sarah Neubert and Isabella Heidenberger 6-1, 6-0 to complete a 16-0 season.
  • St. Joan Antida/Chesterton Academy junior Susanna Hundt took Division 2 singles, rallying past Lourdes Academy’s Sasha Quandt 4-6, 6-0, 10-8 to close an unbeaten 30-0 year.
  • For the third straight postseason, Milwaukee-area athletes secured three of the four state individual titles.
  • Edgewood’s Katie Kohls and Olivia Johnson placed fourth in Division 2 doubles after dropping the third-place match to St. Thomas More’s Grace and Hope Saller.
