Rangers Claim Dairon Blanco and Place Jordan Montgomery on 60-Day IL

• Texas added the 32-year-old outfielder off waivers from the Royals and opened a 40-man spot by transferring the left-hander to the 60-day injured list.
• Blanco owns a .257 average with seven home runs, 34 RBIs and 59 steals in 73 tries across 171 MLB games, with a league-high 64 pinch-running appearances since 2022.
• Kansas City had designated Blanco for assignment earlier in the week after signing veteran outfielder Starling Marte.
