Ram Mandir Trust Sets Dec. 31 Pratishtha Dwadashi With Flag Hoisting on Seven Sub-Temples

The observance is timed to coincide with the Hindu lunar date linked to the original consecration.

Overview

  • The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced second-anniversary rites on Dec. 31, featuring flag hoisting on the Shiva, Surya, Ganesha, Hanuman, Bhagwati, Annapurna and Sheshavatar shrines.
  • Trust sources say all seven sub-temples are now fully completed and decorated ahead of the ceremony.
  • Rituals will begin on Dec. 27 with the worship of the flags to be hoisted, and the flag designs have been finalised.
  • A Trust meeting on Saturday will finalise the programme, with construction committee chair Nripendra Mishra slated to review ongoing works on Sunday.
  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are reported as likely chief guests, following the Nov. 25 hoisting of the main temple flag by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
