Ram 1500 Express Black Edition Set at $109,950 as Australia’s Cheapest US Pickup
The cheaper entry point signals a bid to woo buyers lost to rival full-size utes.
Overview
- Ram Trucks Australia on Thursday priced the 2026 Ram 1500 Express Black Edition at $109,950 before on-road costs, with deliveries starting in June.
- It now leads on sticker price over the Ford F-150 XLT and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and it remains below Toyota’s Tundra.
- The entry grade keeps the 313 kW/635 Nm 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six, an eight-speed automatic, and part-time four-wheel drive used in higher trims.
- Ram cuts cost by fitting an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch instrument display, cloth seats, and a six-speaker stereo while dropping power seats, seat heating, and other comfort features.
- The truck is rated to tow 4,500 kg with a 70 mm tow ball or 3,500 kg with a 50 mm ball, a package aimed at halting the sales slide seen since 2023 as prices rose and new rivals arrived.
