Rajasthan Shifts 17 IPS Officers and Replaces SPs in Seven Districts

The moves place new leaders in district commands as well as specialist wings and signal an accelerated rotation that could affect local policing and investigations.

Overview

  • The state government issued a transfer order that moves 17 Indian Police Service officers and replaces Superintendents of Police in Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Didwana-Kuchaman, Nagaur, Tonk, Bharatpur and Dausa.
  • Harendra Kumar Mahawar was named Inspector General of the Kota Range and K.B. Vandana was posted as IG of CID (Crime Branch), Jaipur, filling two senior vacancies.
  • Several district-level swaps include Manish Tripathi moving from SP, Chittorgarh to SP, ATS Jaipur; Dharmendra Singh shifting from SP, Bhilwara to SP, Chittorgarh; and Sagar moving from SP, Dausa to SP, Bhilwara.
  • Specialist units were also reconfigured with Gyan Chandra Yadav from ATS posted as SP, Didwana-Kuchaman, Richa Tomar sent as commandant of the 11th RAC battalion in Delhi, and transfers affecting ACB, RAC, SOG and other wings.
  • The order takes effect across the named posts and highlights rapid, repeated reassignments for some officers earlier moved this year, a pattern that could disrupt ongoing probes and routine law-and-order management at the district level.
