Railways Moves UTS Season Passes to RailOne, With No Official March 1 Shutdown Notice

Commuters are being nudged to the new app through a transfer link plus a six-month 3% discount on digital unreserved tickets.

Overview

  • Issuance and renewal of monthly, quarterly and annual passes have been permanently disabled on the UTS app, with new or renewed passes available on RailOne.
  • Existing UTS passes remain valid until expiry, a 'Transfer Ticket' tool migrates active passes, and UTS wallet balances carry over automatically to RailOne.
  • UTS still supports unreserved journey ticket bookings for now, and officials say no public directive has set a date for a complete shutdown.
  • A 3% discount on unreserved tickets bought through RailOne via digital payments will run from January 14 to July 14, with the existing R‑wallet cashback continuing.
  • RailOne consolidates reserved and unreserved ticketing, season passes and ancillary services into a single app launched in July 2025, as rail zones step up adoption efforts and commuter outreach.
