Railways Extend Bengaluru–Bidar Specials, Add Sankranti Services on Yeshwantpur–Talaguppa Route
The move addresses peak Sankranti demand, keeping timings and stoppages unchanged.
Overview
- Train 06539 (SMVT Bengaluru–Bidar) will run every Friday and Sunday through February 27, 2026, and Train 06540 (Bidar–SMVT Bengaluru) will run every Saturday and Monday through February 28, 2026.
- The extension adds 17 trips in each direction, totaling 34 additional services through late February.
- Coach composition and scheduled halts remain the same for the extended Bengaluru–Bidar specials, including stops at Kalaburagi, Shahabad and Wadi.
- Tickets carry special charges and are available via IRCTC and computerised reservation counters, with unreserved bookings on the UTS app; detailed timings are listed on NTES and RailOne.
- South Western Railway will operate Yeshwantpur–Talaguppa specials on January 13, 14, 23 and 24, with 06585 departing Yeshwantpur at 10:45 pm and arriving 4:45 am, 06586/06588 returning 10:00 am–5:15 pm, and halts at Tumakuru, Tiptur, Arasikere, Birur, Tarikere, Bhadravathi, Shivamogga Town, Anandapuram and Sagara Jambagaru.
