Railways Clears Final Location Survey for 14 km Jirania–Bodhjungnagar Link
The approved survey will assess technical requirements ahead of any construction decision.
Overview
- The Ministry of Railways sanctioned a final location survey for a proposed rail line connecting Jirania rail yard to Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex in West Tripura.
- The Northeast Frontier Railway said the survey is estimated at Rs 42 lakh and will cover a 14 km stretch.
- NFR’s CPRO said engineers will examine terrain, soil conditions, bridge needs and related design parameters, then submit a report to the ministry.
- Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury welcomed the move and thanked the prime minister, the railway minister and the chief minister.
