Overview
- The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol announced on July 30 that Mexico will play Colombia on Sept. 26 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Peru on Sept. 29 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, and Chile on Oct. 6 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
- The Sept. 26 game versus Colombia is billed as Rafael Márquez’s first match as head coach and will mark the MexTour’s first stop in Baltimore in 23 years.
- The FMF confirmed Mexico will host a Concacaf Nations League quarter-final in November but has not yet named the opponent, set the date, or picked a stadium.
- Reports say Soccer United Marketing controls the commercial staging of the three U.S. friendlies under the FMF’s long-term agreement that requires regular Mexico matches in the United States.
- Márquez, promoted after serving as an assistant at the 2026 World Cup, intends to mix veteran and younger players and use these friendlies to test tactics and personnel ahead of CONCACAF qualifying that begins in 2027.
