- Tribeca, which announced the lineup Tuesday, will open June 3 with the world premiere of Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson’s Earth, Wind & Fire documentary.
- The Beacon Theatre screening will be followed by a live performance by Earth, Wind & Fire and The Roots.
- The film examines the band’s cultural legacy with rare archival material and centers the vision of founder Maurice White.
- Following the festival debut, the documentary will premiere on HBO in the U.S. and stream on HBO Max later in 2026.
- The silver-anniversary Tribeca Festival runs June 3–14 in New York City.
