Queensland Man Charged After Sydney Airport Intercept Over Alleged Overseas Child Procurement

  • He is charged with using a carriage service to plan sexual activity with a person under 16, possessing or obtaining child abuse material outside Australia, and procuring a child to engage in sexual activity outside Australia, which carries a maximum 20-year penalty.
  • He was refused bail and is due at Downing Centre Local Court on April 22 as investigators review devices, cloud accounts and financial transactions with international partners to identify potential victims.
