Overview
- Alibaba’s Qianwen lengthened the no-threshold 25-yuan coupon validity to February 28 and broadened use to Hema stores nationwide and Tmall Supermarket with fast local delivery.
- The app now supports Alipay’s AI Pay so users can order and complete payment within the Qianwen chat, with account binding, biometric verification, risk controls and a compensation pledge.
- WeChat blocked Qianwen’s share links and later disabled copying of its share codes in chats, and Tencent said the enforcement applies equally to similar promotions.
- Qianwen acknowledged renewed outages from surging traffic and urged patience, assuring users they can stockpile up to 21 coupons and that all will be usable before expiry.
- The company warned that giveaway benefits cannot be transferred or sold and said users found reselling or cashing out on secondary platforms may have their eligibility revoked and benefits frozen.
