- The provincial government has ordered all Land Record Centers and related offices to implement a revised fee schedule that is now in force across Punjab.
- Official rates set include Rs4,000 for an express Fard/Mutation/Girdawari, Rs900 for a regular copy, Rs800 for a Green Property Certificate, Rs5,000 for a land-record copy, and Rs1,400 for a certified registered deed.
- The Land Records Authority also raised fees for mutations, bank verification and e-registration services and introduced separate charges for services through mobile centers and overseas transactions.
- Property owners, lawyers and real-estate stakeholders said the higher charges will add financial strain and urged the government to match prices with faster processing, clearer records and reliable online services.
- Officials said the increases are meant to standardize fees, fund computerization and e-stamping, and they warned citizens to use official centers and pay only prescribed fees to avoid fraud.
