Overview
- The government reports 95,881 drug smugglers and suppliers arrested since March 2022 with 71,228 NDPS FIRs, alongside seizures of 5,625 kg heroin, 3,461 kg opium, 1,628 quintals poppy husk and 4.96 crore pharma units, plus properties worth ₹772 crore seized from 1,556 smugglers.
- The Anti-Gangster Task Force is credited with 2,858 arrests, 35 neutralisations, 1,105 gangs busted, recovery of 2,267 weapons and 655 vehicles, and resolution of 38 major cases including murder, extortion and terror-linked plots.
