Overview
- Ukrainska Pravda published the first batch of recordings Wednesday that NABU captured in summer 2025 inside businessman Tymur Mindich’s Kyiv apartment at 9A Hrushevskyi Street.
- One tape features Mindich and then–defense minister Rustem Umerov discussing drone financing, a possible sale of a 33% stake in a company, and taking body armor the state was rejecting, with prosecutors earlier alleging $5.2 million in substandard vests were pushed into purchase.
- A separate call with presidential aide Serhii Shefir covers raising bail for former deputy prime minister Oleksii Chernyshov and includes Shefir saying two deputies sent him “50%” of their earnings, with one of those lawmakers later notified of suspicion in a vote-buying case.
- Another recording about a four-house project in the Dynasty cooperative near Kozyn describes pools, fencing, guards, and work on homes said to be for “Vova,” “Andrii,” Chernyshov, and Mindich, with Ukrainska Pravda’s sources suggesting the first two refer to Zelenskyy and former chief of staff Andrii Yermak.
- The releases add detail to Operation Midas, the NABU and SAPO probe announced November 10, 2025 that alleges roughly $100 million was laundered through energy and related schemes, with charges filed against Mindich and Chernyshov and Mindich now reported to be in Israel.
