Overview
- Performances begin May 22 at Central Park’s Delacorte Theater, with an official June 11 opening and a run through June 28.
- Daniel Bravo Hernández and Ra’Mya Latiah Aikens lead as Romeo and Juliet, joined by Tony winners Francis Jue, LaChanze, and Deirdre O’Connell, with further casting to be announced.
- Public Associate Artistic Director Saheem Ali directs, with the production part of a three-show Delacorte summer that also features Daniel Sullivan’s The Winter’s Tale and a forthcoming Public Works title.
- The creative team includes scenic designer Maruti Evans, costume designer Oana Botez, lighting designer Christopher Akerlind, sound designer Mike Tracey, composer Michael Thurber, fight director Thomas Schall, and intimacy director Kelsey Rainwater.
- Free tickets will be available via day-of distribution at the Delacorte, borough sites including Citizens Bank dates, an in-person East Village lottery, and a TodayTix digital lottery, with a limited advance allotment available by donation.
