Public Hiring Surge Sees Major Contests Open in Pernambuco, Espírito Santo and Paraíba

Most applications run through November, with exams slated for December and results reaching into 2026.

  • Pernambuco released the first Unified Public Contest (CPU-PE) with 460 immediate vacancies, pay from R$ 2,189.17 to R$ 11,359.85, registration via FCC until November 7, and objective plus discursive tests on December 14 and 21 across at least 10 cities.
  • Espírito Santo’s socioeducational institute (Iases) published an edital for 1,008 positions for agent and technical roles, salaries up to about R$ 7,547.78 plus R$ 800 meal aid, registrations from October 15 to November 14, and tests on December 14 with further TAF, psychological evaluation, social investigation and training stages.
  • IFPB launched two selections: 53 technical-administrative vacancies with pay from R$ 2,483.52 to R$ 4,967.04 (applications October 9 to November 5 via Instituto AOCP, objective test on December 7) and 43 professor posts with initial pay from R$ 6,180.86 to about R$ 13,288.85 (applications October 17 to November 14, objective test on December 21 and subsequent performance/titles phases in 2026).
  • Contagem (MG) opened a municipal concurso with 598 immediate vacancies across health, education and administrative roles, salaries up to R$ 12,762.55, and online registration via Instituto ACCESS from October 7 to November 6.
  • Editais highlight inclusion and access measures such as reserved quotas for people with disabilities and for Black, Indigenous and quilombola candidates, plus fee exemptions for CadÚnico registrants and donors; press reports about Espírito Santo also diverged, with one outlet citing 1,200 vacancies under Idcap while the published Iases edital lists 1,008.
