PlayStation Blog details Pro-only tech with mode targets that create clear performance and fidelity trade-offs for players ahead of the July 9 launch.

Overview

  • Ubisoft published official PS5 performance and feature targets on Monday, laying out three graphics modes and the differences between the base PS5 and PS5 Pro.
  • On PS5 the game offers Performance (60 FPS), Balanced (40 FPS) and Fidelity (30 FPS) targets with an upscaled 2160p output across all modes.
  • PS5 Pro gains PSSR 2.0 upscaling, extended ray tracing that adds specular reflections, and wider strand-based hair simulation for Edward and more NPCs in higher modes.
  • Xbox details reported from a shared image show Series X matching 4K-upscaled multi-mode options while Series S is limited to a single 1620p/30 FPS mode with standard ray tracing.
  • The remake was rebuilt on Ubisoft's latest Anvil engine with HDR, Dolby Atmos, DualSense support and modern weather and water systems, and it launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on July 9, 2026.
