Overview
- Barby Franco’s Tesla Cyberbeast, which was traveling on Route 3 on Friday near Cañuelas, braked to avoid a red pickup in the wrong lane and was then hit from behind in a chain collision involving a Ford Maverick and a Toyota Corolla.
- Only the Corolla driver reported a minor hand injury, while Franco, her three-year-old daughter, and a companion were unharmed according to police and emergency officials.
- Investigators identified the pickup’s driver as Roberto Paglioli, 82, who left the scene, abandoned the Mitsubishi L200 in a field, and was later located and taken to the Cañuelas police station as UFI No. 2 opened a case for negligent injury.
- The Buenos Aires provincial transport authority issued a preventive driving disqualification for Paglioli under Law 13.927, an administrative step that runs in parallel to the judicial investigation.
- Onboard Tesla cameras captured the full sequence and the footage, later shared publicly, is part of the evidence authorities used to reconstruct the maneuver and trace the suspected driver.
