Overview
- On Monday the lead prosecutor asked the court to sentence the 62-year-old to 10 years for aggravated pimping and related offences.
- The indictment says the man organised online ads, scheduled and supervised appointments and pushed his wife into paid encounters with about 120 men between 11 August 2022 and 21 October 2025.
- In addition to the pimping charge the accused faces multiple sexual violence counts reported as eight rapes, four attempted rapes and four assaults.
- Prosecutors say the scheme exploited the woman’s vulnerability, including alleged substance dependence and threats, and that the man profited more than 500,000 SEK while the victim’s lawyer is seeking 1.1 million SEK in damages.
- The trial has been held largely behind closed doors in Härnösand, the defendant has been in custody since 10 April, and the defence rejects claims that he facilitated or coerced the activity as proceedings near their close.
