Overview
- Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, 29, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the Jan. 17 Kissimmee shootings and is being held without bond.
- Deputies say they recovered two pistols hidden under his bed that match .45 and .38 caliber rounds found at the crime scene.
- The victims were identified as Robert Luis Kraft, 70, Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, and James John Puchan, 69, who were visiting and staying at a nearby vacation rental.
- Bojeh was previously found not guilty by reason of insanity in a 2021 Wawa shooting and was on conditional release that required outpatient treatment and barred firearms.
- State Attorney Monique Worrell says his treatment costs spiked, he fell out of compliance and the supervising case manager failed to notify the court, while Attorney General James Uthmeier has condemned the prior handling and urged statutory changes.
