- The thefts targeted Sainsbury’s Low Hall and the Morrisons petrol station in Salisbury Hall Gardens in Waltham Forest.
- Police linked the offences by reviewing hundreds of hours of CCTV and store incident reports, noting threats toward staff, thefts during restocking and departures on an e-bike with suitcases of goods.
- The Met set the case in the context of Operation Zoridon, which raided over 120 suspected resale outlets, seized goods worth hundreds of thousands of pounds and made 32 arrests with more than 300 officers involved.
