Overview
- Airlines must explain the cause of delays at the gate or through digital channels, and notify schedule changes at least 24 hours in advance.
- For delays of 1 to 4 hours, passengers are entitled to food, drinks, and discounts for future trips.
- For delays over 2 hours and up to 4, compensation must include at least 7.5% of the ticket price.
- If a delay exceeds 4 hours or a flight is canceled, travelers can choose a refund plus at least 25% compensation, the next available flight with covered expenses, or a later flight with the same minimum payout.
