Overview
- A 14-year-old Class IX student left his Proddatur home after a scolding and pedalled nearly 100 kilometres overnight to Nandyal.
- At Nandyal, he tried to sell his bicycle, left it near the railway station, and then boarded a train to Raichur in Karnataka.
- His father filed a missing-person complaint, and the search was harder because the boy did not have a phone.
- Proddatur police reviewed CCTV at Nandyal Railway Station, searched lodges and hotels, and found the abandoned bicycle.
- Officers traced the boy in Raichur, brought him back to Proddatur, handed him to his parents, and said they counselled the family.
