Princess Anne Visits South Korea and Thailand to Boost Defence, Tech and Humanitarian Links

  • The Princess Royal completed a multi-day visit to South Korea before travelling to Thailand on Thursday, carrying out ceremonies, industry tours and diplomatic meetings.
  • In South Korea she attended a 75th anniversary commemoration at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery and held a private audience with President Lee Jae‑myung.
  • She toured Korea University’s smart mobility lab where she shook hands with a humanoid robot and visited HD Hyundai and SK hynix sites to underline cooperation in maritime, defence and semiconductor technology.
  • At a British Embassy reception in Seoul she met business, defence and cultural figures including K‑pop group NMIXX and at the Empower Program launch urged stronger confidence, mentoring and networks for women leaders.
  • In Bangkok she met King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Prime Minister Anutin, presented condolences for recent tragedies, and joined a Save the Children/Liverpool FC Foundation ‘Play For Change’ football event where she spoke about sport’s role in building confidence and met Emile Heskey.
